A Simple Plan(et)

In the planet blumdizz, there is a stylised and economic version of the economy of the earth. Here each instance of everything is binary. For example, you can either be employed or unemployed. If you are umemployed, you can either be starving or not. If you are employed, you can be one of two types of professionals: namely, you can either be an orator or a curator. Why you may ask..Well, I've done a lot of thinking lately. It appears to me that in the end almost all jobs end up being one of these two. You might have some serious content in what you do, but this is only a passing phase. At some point, the content will not pay you as much as you are capable of earning, and when this happens, you will no doubt try your luck at a hitherto elevation of proceedings, that will culminate in a job where you wax eloquent (orator), or one in which you govern others (curator). In Blumdizz, most things are oversimplified and so in that sense, there are only two jobs. You change from one to the other, either by quitting the company or by performance. This means that if you make a certain salary being a curator, if you get promoted you get a higher salary but as an orator. Likewise, if you do poorly, you become an orator again but at a lower salary. This might happen in the same company or indeed, as is most likely, it can be in the other company. (remember, like everything else, there are only two companies).
