India thrash Australia at last

There is winning the odd game and there is making the opponent look hopelessly inadequate. India have finally achieved the latter, albeit momentarily during the Mohali test match. Apparently in he 2nd innings, Dhoni said to Rahul Dravid., "look at the scoreboard: Australia scored 22 runs in 13 overs. we'll never see that again". Such is the reputation that precedes the Aussie side that even when they perform like minnows, it is considered a one-off event. Overall, there is not much to say except that the Indian quick bowlers have a skill that seems to be compeltely lacking in the Aussie quickies. I wonder how that happened? Everyone can reverse swing..atleast England, Pakistan and South Africa certainly can.The original inventors were Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis of Pakistan. By the way, Pakistani duos have invented other things, just in case you are interested. The first ever Computer Viruses called (c)brain, infested the desktop computers in the age before the Windows operating system. This horrendous program automatically reformatted hard drives and even made funny noises in the middle of that omnipresent game that had a hungry worm eat stuff in straight lines, occasionally eating a fruit to get extra points. This was invented by Amjad Farook and Basit Alvi if I am not mistaken, both residents of Lahore.
Australian cricket was never about immense talent, it was always about excessive fitness, application and professionalism..things that are nice to have but do not really create a sustainable competitive advantage. Indian cricketers have closed the gap in these areas, even though they are still behind. But they do have a lot of talent, always did. Sri Lankans have a serious dose of it too. I can't wait to see the Aussies come out swinging at the Kotla..it's going to be fun!!
